Which Eyelash Extension Technique is Best?
This depends entirely on the condition of your lashes and your own personal preferences. In general, there is a distinction between the 1:1 single lash technique and the 2D, 3D, 6D, or even 12D volume techniques. In the single lash technique, individual artificial lashes are applied, while in the volume technique, several fan-shaped artificial lashes are applied to one natural lash at a time (3D = 3 artificial lashes, 6D = 6 artificial lashes, and so on).
1:1 Single Lash Technique
The 1:1 technique is the more natural solution, as only one artificial lash is applied to each of your natural lashes. This already achieves the "wow effect."
3:1 Volume Technique
The 3:1 technique gives more pronounced results, as three artificial lashes are applied to each of your natural lashes. This creates more volume.
What to consider before an Lash Treatment
- Do not apply mascara, as it must be removed before the treatment.
- Do not use oil-based or greasy creams, as they can affect the adhesive properties of the lash glue.
What to consider after an Lash Treatment
- Avoid contact with water for 24 hours.
- Avoid steam baths and saunas for 24 hours (otherwise the lash curl may be lost).
- Do not apply mascara for 24 hours (best to avoid it altogether).
- Only use oil-free makeup removers.
- Regular brushing with a lash brush and care with a lash shampoo will also extend the durability of your eyelash extensions.
Refill: Simply have the eyelash extensions refilled every 3 to 5 weeks
Whichever refill technique you choose, the artificial lashes are attached to your natural lashes in such a way that they fall out along with your natural lashes. This happens approximately every eight weeks. However, since lashes are in different stages of growth, small gaps in the eyelash extensions usually start to appear after 3 to 5 weeks. That’s why we recommend having the extensions refilled every three to five weeks at one of our beauty salons near you.
Lash Extension Removal: You can always return to your natural lashes!
If you no longer want artificial lashes, you can wait for them to fall out naturally along with your own lashes’ lifecycle – or you can have them easily removed at any time in our Venus Beauty cosmetic studios. How quickly the lashes fall out depends on individual factors, with the first gaps usually appearing after 3 to 5 weeks. For removing the extensions, a special lash remover is used, which contains a gentle solvent for the lash adhesive.
